To Fritz’ surprise it turns out that the supposed man in the moon is actually a woman. And a rather fun-loving one at that. He, who is obsessed with flying and all things extraterrestrial, discoveres this after a spectacular flight in a stratospheric steamer he developed himself. Together with two friends, he flies straight through the starry Emmental sky to the brightest light in the night. Also on board: the always grumpy mother-in-law as a stowaway. But the trip to the moon has even more surprises in store - and of course the amorous entanglements that are obligatory for an operetta.
